“This is a video for a song about a refugee. According to a recent U.N. High Commission for Refugees study, nearly one half of the world's refugees are from Afghanistan and Iraq. And then there are the ones who didn't survive to become refugees... The images used for this video were gathered for a multi-media show called, Occupied. Leralee Whittle and I created that show in 2008 about the US occupations of Iraq, Afghanistan/Pakistan and American minds. This song and the images used are about Iraqi refugees.”
