"Ava Lowrey is a current student at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts studying film and television production. Since 2005, at age 15, Ava has been using multimedia to connect with a larger audience. As creator of PeaceTakesCourage.com, Ava has been featured in The New York Times, Rolling Stone Magazine, CNN, and more. Her work for the website has been viewed by millions and in 2009 she completed her first feature-length documentary "Fallout: Coming Home From the War in Iraq." At NYU, Ava continues to pursue documentary production, and recently completed several short documentaries. In addition, she continues to pursue editing both documentary and narrative films. She has completed editorial internships along with editorial coursework at NYU. She has also completed narrative production classes, and her short film "Spin Cycle" was selected for Tisch’s Sight & Sound showcase."
